Reggie Aqui, Show of Hope Diva Award

Reggie Aqui is a journalist with 20+ years of experience in front of the camera at local news stations and national and international cable news. For ten years, he woke up at 3 a.m. to anchor ‘ABC7 Mornings’ in San Francisco where he helped create and launch two new shows, ‘Midday Live’ and the station’s first daily streaming show, ‘ABC 7@7’. Prior to San Francisco, he was in Portland at KGW, where he was part of the launch of the station’s 4p.m. hour and was promoted to host the 7 o’clock newscast. For 4 years, he worked at CNN, starting in Chicago as a correspondent before moving to Atlanta to anchor CNN’s first streaming network, CNN.com Live. He continued to report for the network and its affiliate service and regularly anchored for CNN International.
