Culturally Responsive Best Practices to Support Transgender and Gender-Expansive Clients
This workshop explores the evolving cultural understanding of gender and provides foundational knowledge of Transgender and Gender-Diverse (TGD) identities. Participants will examine the unique health challenges faced by unhoused TGD individuals, including social determinants and health disparities. The session will also highlight culturally responsive strategies and best practices to effectively serve, engage, and retain TGD populations in supportive services.
Intended Audience: Service providers in Northern California who have or are supporting transgender and gender diverse communities. Anyone in the workforce at agencies or organizations that may have transgender and gender diverse participants.
