Night & Day: Meeting People Where They Are
|
At San Francisco Community Health Center, dignity means being there when people need support most, sometimes that means the middle of the night. Through the night, the RESTORE program offers respite and recovery for those struggling with substance use. Moments of need don’t happen at convenient or predictable times; they come when they come, and it is our intention to be there.
The day can be as long as the night, and that's where the The Community Living Room comes in. The Community Living Room provides a safe, welcoming space for rest, connection, and care during the day. Together, these programs have supported more than 500 people and are helping expand compassionate, around-the-clock care across San Francisco.

Join us for an engaging training designed to deepen understanding and strengthen care for transgender and gender-expansive communities. This workshop will explore evolving concepts of gender, provide foundational knowledge of Transgender and Gender-Diverse (TGD) identities, and examine the unique health challenges faced by unhoused TGD individuals. Participants will gain practical, culturally responsive strategies to better serve, engage, and retain TGD clients in supportive services.
Who should attend: Service providers and staff across Northern California working with or seeking to better support transgender and gender-diverse participants.
